AN OUTSIDE WEDDING

On June 17, 2006, a cloudy, dreary, rainy day began in Western Kansas as preparations for an exciting day were being implemented, the tent was erected, chairs set up, decorations put in place, family photos were taken, everyone watching the weather radar wondering if things were going to take place as planned, yet again another cloud burst arrived, making us all wonder if Plan B was going to be needed. With plenty of time before the ceremony, a report arrived that this was the last rain visible on the radars, low and behold, a little flower girl's prayers were answered, the clouds parted, the sun started shining brightly, and the wind laid down slightly, everything continued as planned! A beautiful evening unfolded, the guests arrived, and the ceremony began on schedule.

Once the rain finally cleared it was time to hustle and get the sound system set up and all microphones checked at ready to go while everyone else was getting last minute supplies, drying chairs, and the slab from the last rain.

A view of the "happy" couple after the vows were said and the minister pronounced them Husband & Wife and a very nice group of friends and family gathered to watch the union of the couple.

From this point on it was preparations for the reception and dance to follow like getting last minute requests from the bride. Western Kansas is rich in German tradition, at most any dance in the area the first dance of the evening is the ever popular Grand March.  Every once in a while you will also catch a very young couple having the time of their life too!!

And last but not least, you can't forget about the "official" race for control of the Remote!!!

By the way, the Ladies won!!!
